It all started with an idea

UHB's story began with Underhill Baltic, founded in 2005, which initially focused on trading agricultural products. Over two decades, this idea has grown into a strong, trusted group of companies that today provides innovative solutions across six key sectors: agriculture, chemicals, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure and food.

Why UHB?

The UHB name emerged naturally alongside the original business vision. As he was building the business, founder Kęstutis Pakalnis sought a name that would reflect not only its identity, but also its approach to growth, direction and goals.

The surname Pakalnis, symbolically associated with living at the foot of a hill, inspired the name “Underhill”. This metaphor perfectly reflects the journey of a business: reaching the summit requires a clear vision, a sound strategy and the courage to keep moving upwards. Every summit reached opens up new horizons, while every challenge becomes a step towards even greater goals.

This is how the name “Underhill Baltic” came about, later naturally shortened to UHB, the name by which it is known today.
